ADOPT A HIGHWAY

Over the past few years, Sobel Network Shipping  Co.,Inc., has continued to expand. We have added to our team and opened multiple offices across the country. As one of the top freight forwarders in New York, we are grateful for the opportunity to grow and serve the community. As our ties to the community deepen, we are always looking for new ways to give back. We believe it is crucial to participate in initiatives that can help better our community.

Recently, we had the opportunity to connect with a representative from the ‘Adopt-a-Highway’ team in N.Y. Without hesitation, we jumped on board. Since the late 80s this program has cleaned over 1,000,000 miles of U.S. highways and interstates. In New York alone about 5,000 miles of highway have been adopted and Sobel is thrilled to add to that number. Trash on the roadside is not just an eye sore but can present a hazard to people and animals in and around the community.

We are proud to say that we have adopted three sections of highway between Queens and Nassau County. These sections are located on the Southern State Parkway both westbound and eastbound as well as the Cross Island Parkway southbound. In these sections you will see signs indicating our participation in the program. We hope our participation will inspire others to take part in any way they can to help improve our environment.
