On September 20th, a series of well-coordinated explosions rocked the occupied regions of Crimea, marking a significant development in Ukraine’s ongoing security and defense operations. This information was confirmed by Andriy Yusov, the spokesperson for Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), during a national television broadcast on the same day.
Yusov revealed, “We are actively engaged in operations aimed at securing military installations in areas currently under occupation, including Crimea. Detailed information regarding these operations will be provided shortly by the Armed Forces and the General Staff.”
In response to queries about specific targets and the efficacy of these operations, Yusov implored patience, citing the rapidly evolving situation in Crimea. He emphasized that these operations were meticulously planned as part of a broader strategy and labeled them as highly “effective.” The ultimate goal, he reiterated, is the liberation of the Crimean peninsula, with the current focus squarely on disrupting Russian positions.
Yusov elaborated further, stating, “Crimea remains a crucial logistical nexus, facilitating the movement of enemy forces and resources to other fronts. To disrupt these activities, a range of operations is being executed, encompassing naval, terrestrial, and aerial approaches, with more to follow in the near future.”
