Highlights of the FY25 User Fee Adjustments
The latest update to the CATAIR V92 documentation includes changes to several customs user fees and their limits, applicable to entry summaries:
- Formal Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) Adjustments:
- The new limits are set at a minimum of $32.71 and a maximum of $634.62.
- Informal MPF Changes:
- For automated processes not prepared by CBP personnel, the fee is adjusted to $2.62.
- Dutiable Mail Fee Update:
- This fee has been updated to $7.20.
- Surcharge Adjustments for Manual Entries or Releases:
- A new surcharge rate of $3.93 has been implemented for manual entries or releases.
Effective Date and Applicability
These updated fees and limitations will be applicable to all importations starting from October 1, 2024. It’s important to note that these new amounts will also apply to any summary that is pre-filed before October 1, 2024, if the corresponding entry date is on or after this date.
