On April 1st, reports from BEIJING indicated a notable upturn in China’s logistics industry for the initial two months of the year, as detailed in a recent industry analysis. From January through February, the sector of social logistics witnessed a 5.9 percent increase on an annual basis, with the total value reaching 55.4 trillion yuan (approximately 7.81 trillion U.S. dollars), when adjusted for comparable prices.
This information was released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. The federation highlighted that this growth rate surpasses last year’s same period by 3 percentage points, signaling a robust recovery in the logistics industry of China. Detailed observations of the sector reveal a steady resurgence in industrial product logistics, along with notably rapid growth in the logistics associated with imported goods and consumer spending. During this period, the industry’s revenues climbed to 1.8 trillion yuan, marking a 5.6 percent increase from the previous year.
